Self-sufficient Life and How to Live It by John Seymour Excellent, excellent book. Covers a little bit of everything, with suggestions on where to find more detailed information on the topics. Crops, livestock, tools, gardening/growing both open land and in cold boxes and greenhouses, pumps, energy sources and how they work, heating/cooling, building & repairs, brewing, canning, butchering and procesing meat for use; I was seriously impressed by the huge quantity of information! |
